Farida Khanum, the Malika-e-Ghazal has present her singing to her fans in Mumbai on friday night for the first time. A new music academy has been announced after her name in the function which will allow students form SAARC countries to learn classical music.
Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha inaugurated the concert while the concert was attended by many distinguished personalities from both Bollywood and music circles.
Earlier, during her three days visit she had met with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle and had created huge enthusiasm among her music lovers.

Waqt Par Bolna - Hariharan's New Album
Hariharan has recently launched his new album Waqt Par Bolna at Jos, Kalaghoda. The album has 10 songs with the fusion of indian singing in a contemporary style. The function was attended by many distinguished singers like Ghulam ali, Anup Jalota, Suresh Wadekar, Leslie Lewis and Abhijeet Sawant. Hariharan made the occassion special for everyone present with is melodious singing.

Sarhad - Lata Mangeshkar's New Ghazal Album
'Sarhad' is the new ghazal album of Lata Mangeshkar and the lyrics are by Javed Akhter. Singers from both India and Pakistan will be singing for the album.
Ghulam ali and Farida Khanum are among the singers from Pakistan while Hariharan, Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadekar will be contributing from Indian side. Lata said that there will also be a song of Mehdi Hassan which he had composed for her.

Lata Mangeshkar Latest Ghazal Album 'Saadgi' Released
Lata Mangeshkar has launched her latest album Saadgi on the occasion of World Music day on Thursday.
Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh released the album 'Saadgi'. The launch ceremony was held at The Club in Andheri on thursday Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Mangeshkar, Suresh Wadkar, Javed Akhtar were also present.
Mona Singh acted in the music video of Saajda. "Mujhe khabar thi" is a soulful song and already touched the heart and soul of many.
Lata believed that it is the destiny that played a role in this album and said, ''There is no reason why the album happened, but it just happened. Nothing was planned but everything just fell into place. The lyrics appealed to me and I could relate with it. Music is my life. As long as I am, so will my music.''
